I’ve moved over some of my photos that I’ve had in other places to our photo gallery on this page. Here are the different galleries that I have added: This is a bit late, but the basement family room area is finally finished. There is even a new couch and new tv down there. We sold the old TV. Now all that we have left down there is to finish the bathroom. Also of interested, this January marks the second year that we’ve been using this blog to keep friends and family up to date with our lives. Kristin found a site called Simpsonizeme where you upload a picture of yourself and it generates what you would look like in the Simpson’s world. We went ahead and did it and came out with some funny pictures, which can be seen below. Just a quick update… I have also started running again (I used to run a lot in high school). Today I ran in the East Fork Backpack Race with a friend. It was a 4.8 mile trail race through the woods at East Fork. James and Gavin went with Christie and I. The race started off well, but almost half way in Christie and I (and another runner) took a wrong turn. There was no race official there to tell us where to go. We all ended up running another mile to mile and a half on the wrong trail until a biker on the trail saw us and told us! Long story short, we ended up running around 8 miles during this 4.8 mile race and we ended up last! It was tough but it was a major accomplishment for me. We picked up a digital camera off of eBay last week. We wanted to have a camera that we could take jet skiing with us. Always seemed to be a time when we wanted to stop and take a picture, but didn’t want to risk dropping our digital camera in the water. It’s a 5.0 megapixel off brand camera. We took it out to the Ohio River with us this past Sunday and we took some pictures. The gallery is located here. Kristin and I got a Wii for xmas and we are really enjoying it. Well, when we could. Since the tv broke, we haven’t been able to play it for about two weeks now. I’ll eventually get to writing up the entire tv broke story one day. Anyways, it only came with one remote. We realized quickly that when friends are over or even if we want to play at the same time, we need a second remote. It is impossible to find a Wii remote unless you buy it off ebay. I’m not buying it off ebay, so I’m still looking. It’s even to the point where ever place we go, we look and nobody has them in stock. My friend Farno is even looking every time he goes out. Hey Nintendo … Where are the Wii remotes??? Farno has had an easier time finding a Wii in the store (he found one last weekend). You would think those would be massed produced. We hope everyone has a happy new year! Today James and I bought me a black 2006 Jeep Liberty!! We hadn’t really planned on buying one today but found the one I really wanted and got a good deal on it. More details later… We just got another jet ski. This one is a ’99 Sea Doo GS. I took it out all day yesterday and it runs great. This is not really an addition to our collection but a replacement. We’re planning on selling the ’90 SP as soon as we can, which will likely be next spring. We have a part ordered for it that is already 1 month back ordered. From the sounds of it, Kristin wants this one because, “It looks pretty.” I think the ’94 might be back in action now. It needed a little exhaust boot / seal which had been on order from Lodders for the last month. I just ordered it from another company (Beechmont Motor Sports) and only took 3 days to get in. The amount of time Lodders said it would take (3 days) and the amount of time it has taken and still not in (1 month) is horrible. Moral of the story, don’t buy parts from Lodders. We’ll be taking them both down to the river tomorrow, so hopefully no more issues with the ’94 SPX. Last night, James and I went to Grand Victoria and Argosy Casinos in Indiana for a while for fun. We both lost at Grand Vic…I lost a lot more. Then went to Argosy and we both came out way ahead of what we spent! Woohoo! I would recommend Argosy. It has a younger crowd, more tables, and more slots. |
