A lost site

Well, even though I work in IT, sometimes you forget the little things like backing up. The site has been down because the system it was on lost it’s disk from human error. Luckily, I had this backup laying around. Google cache has some of the old posts, that I will be putting back on as time permits and we will be adding the pictures and videos back also. Eventually, we hope to get the site back to where it was.

Ethan’s 1 Month Doctor Appointment

Ethan had his one month doctor appointment this week. The doctor seemed very pleased with his progress. He weighs 10 lbs. 2 oz, is 21.5 inches long, and has a head circumference of 38.5 cm. He falls at about the 50th percentile for weight and length, and 75th percentile for head circumference.

The doctor had Ethan on his tummy on the exam table and Ethan was pushing himself up and moving his head around a lot. The doctor said Ethan would probably roll over very soon (most babies roll over around four months) and we were hoping he would right then, but he decided to wait a little longer. Yesterday, he rolled over four times!!

Ethan is home

This is a little delayed, but Ethan has finally made it home.  Kristin and Ethan came home Wednesday and we’re trying to get everything in order before we bring the puppy dogs back home.  Kristin needs to be a little more healed until they are allowed back home.

Right now we’re just getting through having to feed him every 1 1/2 hours to 3 1/2 hours, depending on when he is hungry.  We’re also trying to get him on a better sleeping schedule.  He’s currently on the being away most of the night and sleeping all day.  We have a ton of information on how to fix it and we’re doing it now, just going to take a little while for it to work.

Besides that, everyone is doing fine and things are finally starting to calm down.  We really appreciate all the friends and family have shown by helping us out here and there.

36 Weeks

James and I are almost finished getting the nursery ready. We bought Ethan’s furniture from IKEA last week and James put it all together. Ethan’s clothes are almost all washed and put away, too. We’re almost ready for him to come!!

Below is a 36 week picture…

27 1/2 Weeks Baby Bump

We took some pictures of Kristin’s belly. It’s starting to get pretty big now. She says he’s starting to kick all the time and doing somersaults. He’s even kicked Moby and made him jump while Moby was laying against her belly.

Maternity Clothes

I finally broke down today and went maternity clothes shopping after school at Target. As I was looking through the clothes and finding not much in my size, James strolls up and surprises me. What a sweetie! I ended up trying on almost everything they had that was near my size and came home with two pairs of shorts, a pair of capris, a pair of dress pants, and two shirts. I tried some dresses on, but they all looked like huge tents…yikes! We don’t even want to discuss the bathing suits…haha.

Kristin’s Trip to Alaska

For those that don’t know, Kristin went with her brother to Alaska to visit her sister. She went there over spring break for about 10 days. I’ve finally gotten her pictures up in our photo gallery.

Site down last couple days

Well, if you tried to get to the site the last couple days, you would have noticed that you have not been able to get to it.  That’s pretty much because of an upgrade I’m planning for the software this site uses.  To save me hours and hours and hours of time, I wanted to enable some things to make my life easier with the server.  To enable them, I needed to delete all the databases, then to find out it would also take about a day to move the site to another server.  So now everything is back up and the way it is supposed to, but the new feature is still not working.  Once it is, I’ll be upgrading the software.

Good times at East Fork Lake

We went to East Fork Lake this past weekend and took the two jet skiis.  We spent most of the time on the beach hanging out with our friends.  We took the camera and added the pictures to our photo gallery.

We will be heading to Caesar’s Creek next Saturday (Saturday, August 9th) from 1pm to around 6pm. We will be on the northern part of the beach (part on the left when looking at the lake from the parking). We will also be bringing our Jet Skis again. You can get directions by going here.

We’re back from the Outer Banks

Well, this is a little late, but we are back from our first vacation in 4 years. We headed down to the Outer Banks with family and spent a week relaxing. My parents had rented a six bedroom house on the sound side that included a pool. It was a really awesome house. We were probably 3 feet away from the shores of the sound. It was an easy walk to the beach also.

We have taken tons of pictures and put them in our photo gallery already. It was a pretty nice place. Great for lots of relaxation and not too much going on. It didn’t have a night life, which was fine with me. I just wanted to enjoy laying around in the sun, water, and sand.

I’m trying to remember some things that happened.  On the first day, Kristin, my parents, Julie, and I showed up about 2 – 3 hours before we could get in.  We ended up leaving the Jeep at the house and driving around in my Mom’s tracker.  We found a sign that said Beech Access 4×4, so we took the tracker out.  The first time, we had no problems, but the second time we got stuck waiting in a line to get off where someone at the beginning got stuck.  After digging out the tires, putting burned wood under them for traction, and letting some air out of the tires, we finally made it off the beach though.

We also stopped at Hadaras Light house were Kristin wanted to go to the top.  After going straight up without stopping (we were only 2 out of 4 people that were able to do that), it was nice and windy to cool us off.  We also got some great pictures, so check the photo gallery for those.
