Got a ’99 Sea Doo GS

We just got another jet ski. This one is a ’99 Sea Doo GS. I took it out all day yesterday and it runs great. This is not really an addition to our collection but a replacement. We’re planning on selling the ’90 SP as soon as we can, which will likely be next spring. We have a part ordered for it that is already 1 month back ordered. From the sounds of it, Kristin wants this one because, “It looks pretty.”

I think the ’94 might be back in action now. It needed a little exhaust boot / seal which had been on order from Lodders for the last month. I just ordered it from another company (Beechmont Motor Sports) and only took 3 days to get in. The amount of time Lodders said it would take (3 days) and the amount of time it has taken and still not in (1 month) is horrible. Moral of the story, don’t buy parts from Lodders. We’ll be taking them both down to the river tomorrow, so hopefully no more issues with the ’94 SPX.

Siding has been installed

The siding has been installed. The only thing left is for the door to be installed. Everything looks great. Here’s what we have had done:

  • Take off all the existing siding
  • Wrapped the entire house in 3/8″ insulation / vapor barrier. This also provides and additional 1.5R insulation.
  • Install tan siding on the exterior walls in the Wheat color.
  • Install white trim on all corners.
  • Cover all soffits and fasai boards with white vinyl.
  • Add one gutter to the rear of the back porch. This is to catch all the run off water that occurs.

Here are some comparison pictures that we have taken:
